To find an ENVI license number:

• Start an ENVI Classic session, then choose Help > About ENVI.
• In the resulting window, click the Save File Info button.
• In the resulting window, scroll to the bottom, and you will see an Installation Number.
• This is your license number.

To find an IDL license number:

• Start an IDL session.
• In the console, you will see the Installation number listed.
• This Installation number is your license number.

If you experience a licensing problem and cannot see an Installation Number in an ENVI or IDL session, please look for a license.dat file under the Exelis directory in which your product is installed.

For example, a typical Windows installation of IDL or ENVI will have the license.dat file at C:\Program Files\Exelis\License. You can open this file in a text editor, to find your License Number(s).
