Hi all,

I have processed a set of rasters (dat files) of the NDVI derived from MODIS and constructed a time series from my rasters using ENVI 5.3.

Now, I need to add a legend to this time series before export that as an animation. How could I do that in ENVI?

I would appreciate if you could provide me with a detail answer, since I am not a professional user.

Thanks.

ENVI 5.3 currently uses the ArcGIS Print layout to provide map composition capabilities. You must launch ENVI in 32-bit mode and have ArcGIS installed. Then you can use the File->Print tool to access the layout view.

Alternately, you can launch ENVI Classic and display the data in a display. Then use the ENVI Classic QuickMap from the File menu from the display.

Another option that I successfully tried was to create a legend in a separate application (PowerPoint, Photoshop), save it to a graphics format (GIF or PNG), then import the legend as a picture annotation into the view. You can place it anywhere you want in the time series view, and it will persist while animating the time series.
