Hi all, I've seen the ENVI Contour routines and function documentation, and saw that the input files seem to be bitmaps or .dat csv-like files. I would to create an automatic procedure from rasterized LiDAR data in ENVI image format. What would be the most efficient and effective way to get the ENVI Raster data in an acceptable form for the CONTOUR routine? Many thanks, Jared

I believe the ability to generate Contours is a current feature request for ENVI. For now, you can use ENVI Classic to generate contours for your dataset and I think that may be easier than using IDL's CONTOUR procedure. In ENVI Classic, display the image in a 3 window display and choose Overlay->Contours. These can be exported to a shapefile.

Is there any way to use the ENVI API to automate the creation of contour lines such as a ENVI_DOIT or ENVITask?
