Hello. This should be a simple question but I'm rather new to the ENVI interface. I have a mosaicked aerial photo in TIFF format that is not georeferenced. I do have the associated .TFW file and the UTM zone so it can be loaded into ENVI. I also have both an ASTER and a LandSat TM image of the same scene. There seems to be an offset of about 200m between the aerial photo and both satellite images. I would like to link them to help me develop my ROIs for a supervised classification. I tried performing an Image to Image Map Registration followed by an Image to Image Warp using the ASTER image as the base. The georeferencing was satisfactory after testing with the Geographic Link, however the resolution of the output warped image was very blocky. In the original aerial photograph, I can easily discern between forest canopy and coconut plantations. However, the output warped image is incredibly pixelated.
Is this something I can fix in the process I used or did I choose the wrong process? All I need is to properly link/overlay the photo with the sat imagery while keeping the same resolution. Perhaps doing a Warp is itself too much. I would expect that I would just need to establish some tie points. Thoughts?
Many thanks.
