Hello. In the Gain and Offset Values dialog box, it lists the bands of the image I've chosen sequentially titled "Band 1, Band 2, Band 3.....". However, it appears to me that these are not actually identified with the Landsat Bands 1,2,3... of the LS image I've chosen, but instead seem to refer to the bands as they are listed in the Available Bands window. In other words, it seems to me that the lists of band names in the Gain and Offset Values would be the same regardless of whether the bands in my LS image were ordered by ascending or descending band names. Can you confirm this? Which dialog band names refers to which image band name? Of course, it makes a critical difference as to which values get assigned to which bands. Thank you.

The band-specific gain and offset values should be provided in the order in which they appear in the Available Bands List. The tool is designed to work with all types of multiband imagery, not just Landsat, so it's approach is more generalized and it doesn't pay attention to sensor-specific band names--just their positions in the file. So, "Band 1" in the gain/offset dialog refers to the first band in your file--not Landsat Band 1. If your band names are ordered like this in the ABL: Band 1 Band 2 Band 3 Band 4 Band 5 Band 7 Then you'd apply your gain and offset values as follows: Band 1 gain/offset Band 2 gain/offset Band 3 gain/offset Band 4 gain/offset Band 5 gain/offset Band 7 gain/offset If they are in reverse order, like this: Band 7 Band 6 Band 5 Band 4 Band 3 Band 2 Band 1 then you'd do this: Band 7 gain/offset Band 6 gain/offset Band 5 gain/offset Band 4 gain/offset Band 3 gain/offset Band 2 gain/offset Band 1 gain/offset
