I want to generate a random sample from one big ROI to other smaller ROIS (points).  I want to use the resulting  ROIS to train and assess the classification of a landsat image after. When I carry out the Random sample using ground truth ROIS, the problem is that what I want to get is one ROI per point and no one global ROI. Otherwise it´s only possible to obtain an unique ROI with all the points included. How can I get one ROI per point from the ramdom sample? Thanks. Víctor.

I'm afraid that ENVI doesn't allow you to put each of the points extracted from one input ROI into its own point ROI with the Generate Random Sample tool.  You can put the points extracted from different input ROIs into separate output point ROIs.  But all of the points extracted from a given ROI always end up in the same output ROI. I wonder why you want to have them all in their own ROIs?  Maybe there's another way to work around the problem?  Peg
