I just realized that this is  a seemingly simple question that i do not know the answer for :( If you write out some preferences to a custom .cfg file, how do you make envi read that file and not the default envi.cfg? I've got a user accessing envi over a network, so the default will always be there.  Any help would be appreciated. Jeff

Hi Jeff, What you may be looking for is in the Help under: About ENVI > Getting Started with ENVI > Configuring and Customizing ENVI There is a section here called 'Customizing ENVI in a Multiple-User WIndows Environment'  that should give you the steps to get things set up accordingly. I hope this helps out.
