hello- i'm pan-sharpening quickbird imagery (ms+pan) i recently downloaded from digitalglobe and am using the gram-schmidt spectral sharpening tool. i selected my low resolution image, then chose the corresponding pan image. on the next dialog box, you can choose the method for low resolution pan and i chose 'create by sensor type', then chose quickbird, chose resampling method and gave this file an output folder and name. i then received an error "the selected low resolution input file does not contain wavelength information which is required by the selected low resolution pan method." is there some other file that i'm missing? thanks for any ideas. -al

Open the QB image using File->Open External ->QuickBird.  This treats the file as 'QuickBird' rather than generic TIFF and will assign wavelengths to the bands.  You can also add wavelengths manaually via File->Edit ENVI Header ->Edit Attributes->Wavelengths.
