Hi, I´m new and need to correct two TIFF images (PAN & multispectral of the same image) with ENVI 4.5 FLAASH module. Please correct me when I get wrong: First, I open the metadata.dim multispectral file with ENVI. (need I to merge PAN & multi images to correct them?) Then, basic tools->Convert Data (BIL, BIP, BSQ) and I get a file.BIP Basic Tools->Preprocessing->Calibration Utilities->FLAASH Import Radiance Image->(Select file.BIP) and select "Use single scale factor for all bands". My question is, if the sequence of steps is well done: What is the correct scale factor for SPOT5 radiance images? I have read in the "Flaash Multispectral" manual that Landsat5 images need to change the scale from 1 to 10. But what about SPOT5? thank you very much, I´m a little lost :)

SPOT data usually comes in DN and should be converted to radiance prior to input to FLAASH.  You will need to know what the units of radiance are in order to supply the correct scale factor.  You might try the SPOT_Radiance tool available from www.ittvis.com ->User Community->Code Library.  Do a search for SPOT and you should see this tool.  It will help you convert your SPOT data to radiance and the output units are in W/(m^2*sr*um) which are the same radiance units for Landsat when converted to radiance.  So once you have converted your SPOT image to radiance, your scale factor for FLAASH will be 10.

[/QUOTE] Hi, thanks for your response! I´ve loaded a .DIM file in ENVI and the calibration SPOT tool doesn´t ask me any extra requirements. It generates a new file without touching radiance units.. so I would like to ask you if this new file is the one I have to load in the FLAASH input box just giving a scale factor of 10 for a correct processing. Thank you very much Mari.

You should only be prompted to select the .dim if you did not open the image as SPOT DIMAP or if your file was in another format such as ENVI.  So your data should be ready for FLAASH using the scale factor of 10.
