Our department just upgraded from ENVI 4.4 to ENVI 4.7, and somewhere along the way, we seem to have lost the Goode's Homolosine map projection. It is not available in the map projections list, and old files that were in that projection, when opened in ENVI 4.7, now appear as having an "Arbitrary (Map Based)" projection. Was the removal of this projection intentional? Or do I possibly have a corrupted installation (using Mac OSX version)? Goode's Homolosine is still one of the options in the IDL Global Mapping Demo, so it obviously still exists in IDL. Is there a way to import a map projection from IDL into ENVI?

Unfortunately, the Goode's Homolosine is one of the projections that are no longer supported with the new projection engine in ENVI 4.7.  Details of the new projection engine and how it affects ENVI are discussed in this tech tip: http://www.ittvis.com/ser...echtip.asp?ttid=4503
