Can anyone point me towards some references or information explaining why adding 20 ppm to the actual CO2 mixing ratio produces better results in FLAASH? The FLAASH documentation simply states "For best results, add 20 ppm to the actual value" and I couldn't find any explanation in the references listed for that section.

The current atmophere is approximately 390 ppm. I suspect FLAASH is using a lower value (370 ppm) as its default.

Yeah, but it doesn't say add 20 ppm to the default value, it says add 20 ppm to the actual value which I can only assume to mean today's actual value, ~390 ppm.
