Good afternoon, i have remote sensing data on .tif format representing a very vast area and i have also my area of interest, which is included in the .tif data, in shapefile format. Is there any way by using the shapefile information to some how extract this specific area that i'm interested in in order to reduce the volume of data in ENVI? Thank you for your time Stathis

You can use Basic Tools ->Resize Data and select your dataset. Then in the same file selection dialog, you can choose to do a Spatial subset which gives you the option to use an ROI/EVF for the subset. This will only create a rectangular area as small as your vector layer. If you want to mask areas outside the bounds of an irregular vector layer, you can convert the vector to an ROI and use Basic Tools ->Subset data via ROIs and choose to mask the areas outside the bounds of the vector.
