Why are imagine files still not opening in ENVI 4.7SP2? ITT is advertising that they are finally getting it together. NO matter what i do they aren't coming in. Please advise, I have 259 files that i need to bring in an process.

Also, I have ARCGIS desktop etc license but the IDL envi_open_external_data for /ARCGRID also does not function.

Imagine files are supported. *Compressed* Imagine files are not supported in ENVI but are supported in ENVI Zoom. If you open your compressed Imagine file in ENVI Zoom, you can send it to ENVI. ENVI will still warn you that it is a compressed Imagine file, but you can dismiss the dialog. Then a header dialog will appear, which you can dismiss also. The file will open in the Available Bands List and can be processed like any other file. Alternately, you can turn off the automatic compression when creating Imagine files. Are you running ArcGIS 10? If so, this is not supported in ENVI 4.7. It will be in the next release of ENVI.
