Hello Friends, I have created NDVI image from TM data in Envi 4.5. When I display image it appears in gray scale (ie. black to white scale). I have used Tool>color mapping>envi colorr table options and selected blue to red option to see the no biomass feature in blue to high biomass feature in red. My questions are- 1) Is it possible to convert this continous scale information into different classes(based on interval). For example, If I do density slicing it gives an option to save the range into different classes. But not in this case. 2) How to make interval......from continous data scale Thanks PK

It sounds to me like using the density slice tool is a good way to convert your continuous data into classes. Why was it that you didn't want to use that tool? Are you hoping to output every separate color in the color table to a separate class? If the color table has 256 different values (which I think they all do), then you'll have 256 different classes. Is that what you want?

I am not using density slicing option becuase I donot know how to fix the interval value based on continous scale. I mean how to decide the interval for each category. When I take default option of density slicing the resultant image appears totally different from original continous image. Is there any way to do that in ENVI 4.5
