Hi, I was wondering... I would like to calculate the spectral similarity existing between spectra that I have selected from different hyperspectral images in ENVI. How can I do this in ENVI? I am more interested in the shape of the spectra and not the magnitude of the values, so I believe spectral angle would be a good measure. However, I do not want to classify or map images with spectral angle mapper, only study the spectra and find out their spectral angles. Is it possible to do this in ENVI? Thanks!

Yes, this would be useful, wouldn't it? Unfortunately, there is not currently a way to calculate the spectral angle between individual spectra in ENVI. You would have to put the spectra in an image and then apply a Spectral Angle classification (or put them in a spectral library, and then use Spectral Analyst to compare to other library spectra). - Peg
