hello every body I want to calculate the land surface temperature from Landsat5 data aquired in 1987 and 2003, I converted the thermal band (band6) to radiance using calibration utility but when I want to use the Thermal atm. correction utility or to calculate emisivity I faced this problem "the file must contain wavelength information" what does this mean? and how to do that?

The error message means that ENVI expects (and needs) to find wavelength information for your image in the ENVI header, in order to perform the emissivity calculation. but it is not finding wavelength information in the header of your file. To fix this, you can right click on the image in ENVI's Available Bands List, and choose Edit Header. In the Header Info dialog that comes up, click Edit Attributes > Wavelengths. This brings up a window in which you can enter the wavelengths for each band of your data. The Landsat 5 band 6 center wavelength is about 11.45 microns. - Peg
