    I currently received ASTER L1A imagery but I realized its in tif format so I can't load it as an external file in ENVI for processing. Is there a way I can convert this to hdf or still process it in ENVI. Any experience with this? Philip

    The general format of ASTER image is HDF so if you can, require it agqin, any way you can use ERDAS , the import and export tool to convert the formats.

    Try this from ENVI main menu File--->Open External file--->EOS--->ASTER
