Hi, I'm very inexperienced with ENVI and need to create a text file of three columns (x,y,z). I have LiDAR data exported from Arc in several formats including a text file, I'm not sure which one I need to use. I have watched someone do this in ENVI before but I didn't write down how they did it and I can't seem to figure it out. I know there is a function available to do this possibly in topography. The reason I need to the points is to create a mesh which I will do in different software. Can anyone remind me as I know it wasn't that complicated before. Thanks in advance

It is not clear what you are asking. If you have a text file in xyz exported from Arc, what is it you want ENVI to do? ENVI can generate a grid from a set of xyz points using the Rasterize Point data tool under the Topography menu. Is this what you want to do?
