I have a student licence of ENVI and im trying to run an atmospheric correction algorithm: 1) If i attempt to use the FLAASH algorithm, i get a message that I have to open ENVI in 32-bit mode. I dont know how to do this. 2) If i attempt to use the Quick algorith, I get a message that i do not have a licence to the atmospheric correction modules. Is this not included in the student licence? 3) After performing an atmospheric correction, is it possible to extract the spectral characteristics of the atmosphere (transmittance) and examine the change in the atmospheric features spatially across the image?

    1. If you installed ENVI on a 64-bit platform, you should also have the 32-bit version. On Windows, you can find this in the Program Group for ENVI 4.8 ->ENVI (32-bit) 2. The Atmospheric Correction module is not included with an ENVI license. This is an additional cost add-on module. 3. The ACM is intended to correct the spectral response of an image caused by the atmosphere, not to investigate the atmosphere. There are no intermediate atmospheric products created other than a cloud map classification image and a map of retrieved column water vapor.
