I am mosaiking an image from 4 different images. the images are cartosat images. For mosaiking i have to register one image to other. this is very tedious. When i double click a pixel on a cartosat image, it shows the row/col number as welll as lat/long of the pixel. Cant i directly use the lat/long to combine images without going thru the process of selecting GCP's , registering one image to other and then mosaiking them??

Are your images already georeferenced? If so, you could use Layer Stacking to stack the images together without having to perform image-to-image registration. This assumes the native georeferencing is accurate.
