Hi, I am having a few issues with the DEM extraction wizard. The wizard goes through the full process on building epipolar images, generating parallax etc but fails right at the end of the process quoting the error... 'Point_LUN: Negative position argument not allowed. Position -8589911624, Unit: 100' i have checked the location of the output filename and all is present and correct with sufficient disk space and am now fresh out of ideas! Any help would be greatly appreciated. i am using ENVI 4.6.1 and i have worldview-2 panchromatic stereopairs which i orthorectified using the Orthorectify Worldview tool. Andy

I've seen this error in earlier versions of ENVI. Do you have access to 4.7 or later? You should try the process in one of the newer versions. Also, you should input the RPC projected images to DEM Extraction since it requires RPCs. You should not orthorectify the data prior to input to DEM EX.

thanks for the reply MariM. I had previously extracted a dem from the rpc project images but was getting a lot of noise (blurring) towards areas of higher relief and was hoping orthorectified imagery might solve this - evidently i was wrong! unfortunately i do not have any accurate GCPs for my AOI which might have helped
