Is the old "Pixel Locator" tool/functionality in ENVI 5.0? Basically, I need to send someone to a particular pixel to qeury the digital number.

IN ENVI 5, the tool to use is the 'Go To' on the main toolbar along the top of the application. You can enter pixel coordinates such as 25,25 or map coordinates such as 481168,4426792. You can read about the various formats that Go To accepts in the ENVI help under Explore Imagery->Display Tools.

Thanks, the GO TO tool works well. Is there a way to query the brightness values (after stretching), as opposed to the data values?

I don't think there is a tool that displays the stretched screen values. In ENVI Classic, the RGB values were displayed in the Cursor Location/Value but not in ENVI 5.

That's disappointing. That was an easy way to describe stretching to students learning ENVI.

I created a feature request to add this information into the Cursor value tool in ENVI 5.

Regarding the pixel values, I used to link some images and visualize at the same time the pixel values of different images moving the cursor around. How can I do that with ENVI 5.0? Thanks Michele

The ENVI Help under the following should have the details you need: Explore Imagery > Open and Browse Data > Image Window Views
