Hello, i have tried all options in ENVI to save my classified satellite images as grids. I have used: 1) overlay grid lines and save and 2) Main menu-File-Save as- ArcGIS geodatabase....but the problem is, that i have to be able to open then in ArcGIS the ATTRIBUTE TABLES from the grids, but it was still without success. Is there any appropriate way to saving classified satellite images (raster datasets, i think they are diskret) as GRID to work then with the VATs (value attribute table)? Thanks a much!

Do you mean you are trying to save to Esri GRID format? I am not sure what overlaying grid lines and saving would do. ArcGIS 9.x and 10 can read ENVI format files directly, including classification images. Can you just save the file in ArcGIS to the format you need?

By saving ENVI classification file - "save image as" and then -- "File format: ESRI GRID" comes this error: "An error has occured during processing Error: "Keyword ESRI_GRID not allowed in call to: ENVI_OUTPUT_TO_EXTERNAL_FORMAT" In ArcGIS (i have test version 10.1) i cannot converse to ESRI GRID...and i think i cant open attribute table there because of error in ESRI GRID format? Right? Thanks so much!!

No, there is no ability to save to GRID format from ENVI 5 with ArcGIS 10. Read your ENVI format file into ArcGIS and save it to GRID from there.
