The Elev value specified in the Ground Control Points Selection dialog for orthorectification in ENVI must be relative to the geoid height specified for the RPC orthorectification process. RPC orthorectification requires height above the ellipsoid. What height we must write in the Ground Control Points Selection dialog ?

I think it is assumed most ground control will be collected from a DEM that is relative to the mean sea level (geoid) and not elevation above ellipsoid, which is fairly uncommon to have. If you are using the new RPC orthorectification workflow in ENVI 5, you have the option to turn off the geoid correction in the Advanced tab if you do have a DEM and have collected GCPs that are referenced to the ellipsoid.

Thanks for answer. Where is in ENVI option to turn off the geoid correction?
