Dear All, Is there any possibility to work with Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) which are available in .h5 format? Many articles say they used h5 browser but i am not able to find that in Code library. Please help me by sharing any possibility to open and work on these .h5 files. harisubash2002@yahoo.com With Regards Hari Adhikari

IDL supports HDF 5 formatted data and the H5 browser is part of IDL. ENVI has plans for support for VIIRS in the future.

Dear MariM, Isn't there any option to open these .h5 files and save it as ENVI readable format with geographic coordinates and projection in it. I used the link below http://www.mmnt.net/db/0/.../aura/get_h5_dataset but was not able to save it as Geotiff or any Envi readable format with all these projection information. I would appreciate if you could send me a link to get IDL readable .pro or sav file to open .h5 images. Thanks in advance. Hari Adhikari
