Is there anyway to increase the available memory in the OSX version for processing? It appears that there is ~ 25 meg available as cache memory and a unsupervised classification using LS8 takes ~ 75 megs for writing output to memory. It appears that IDL takes ~ 1 gigs of system memory. I have plenty of machine memory 32 gigs. thanks

If you are using ENVI Classic or ENVI classic tools from ENVI 5, you can change the tile size setting in the ENVI Classic preferences. This causes ENVI to use larger tile sizes when accessing data for processing and can somewhat improve performance. We suggest setting this to no more than 5% of the physical ram on the system.
