Hi--having some problems classifying Landsat 8 imagery that I've never had before. I have an layer stack of 4-bands, and simply trying to do the usual ROI routine (ROIs contain anywhere from 70 to 700 pixels). I keep getting all black images. I checked the rule images, and they're all negative. I think someone may have posted a similar problem a year or two ago, but didn't see an answer. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? Never had an issue before. I have NOT yet run FLAASH corrections--I suppose I need to but this has never caused an issue before. Unfortunately I'm stuck on ENVI classic--we're still at 4.5 since there's no money at our institution to upgrade. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm afraid that it's not clear to me exactly what the "usual ROI routine" is, that results in black images. Can you provide a few more details about exactly what you are doing in ENVI that leads to the black images? - Peg Exelis VIS

You can use minimum 5 ROIs in each class.

I am curious as to the method you are opening the Landsat files, you mention you are using ENVI 4.5? Ryan Exelis
