Hello, I am currently processing Tandem-X CoSSC raw data using the interferometry module of SARscape in order to obtain a DSM for tree height modelling. I encountered a Problem in the interferogram Generation step and would like to kindly ask for your Support. When defining the DEM Input file I realized that the file has to be in .dem Format which is a new format for me since the DEMs I usually work with are in .tif format. I searched the Internet for a solution (convert .tif to .dem) but didn't find any helpful information. My next thought was to use the Import TIFF function in SARscape but always got an error message that the selected .tif file can not be found (though it clearly exists and can even be opened and displayed in ENVI using the data Manager) Now I wonder if you can give me any advise how to handle this issue, if there is any way to convert my .tif DEMs to .dem Format or to Import them in any other way to SARscape so I can use them in my processing procedure. Kind Regards: Markus Höhl (Msc. Student at Chair for Remote Sensing and Landscape Information Systems, University of Freiburg)

You should be able to import your TIFF and Sarscape will generate the necessary file formats and ancillary files so that it can be used in Interferometry. What version of Sarscape are you using? It seems that the error you are getting may have been fixed in a patch or newer version. Also, you can extract a SRTM DEM with Sarscape to use with Inteferometry - have you tried this process?
