So, whenever I stacked the bands and save them in TIF file..it looks like ERDAS 2013 I have on my computer does not like to open it.
Is there a way around to fix it or is it that I need to upgrade to ERDAS 2014 they are having a problem with the ERDAS 2013 ?

How did you save it to a TIFF? After layer Stacking, did you use File->Save As->TIFF?

Using ENVI 5.1 Layer stacking toolbox, so when I import the file and then enter the Ouput Filename so I just add the TIF file...

The result of the Layer Stacking process is an ENVI format file, even if you add a '.tif' file extension to the name. You will need to export the Layer Stacking result to a TIFF file using File->Save As->TIFF.

I saved a Landsat-8 dataset to ERDAS IMG in ENVI 5.2 SP1 and it looked correct when opened in ENVI and ArcGIS. What do you mean it does not come out right? Are you saving the file in the same directory as an ENVI file of the same name? What version of ENVI are you using?
