I'm using the Spectral Hourglass Wizard form mineral identification and having selected a small group of pixels in the n-d visualizer to form an endmember class. Then selecting 'Retrieve Endmembers' forms a single class from the group of pixels. Does the Wizard create a mean spectral plot of the pixels forming the endmember class, which is then used in combination with the Spectral Analyst to suggest what the mineral may be?

Yes, this is one thing you could do in the wizard. You will need to specify an appropriate spectral library to compare your endmember spectrum to via the Spectral Analyst. I'm not sure whether this answers your question. Let us know if you were looking for a different sort of answer. - Peg Exelis VIS
