I have 80 landsat scenes that I have masked out clouds on for each individual band, and now I want to layer stack them and create some histograms. I realized though that when each individual band is stacked the no data pixels are being automatically assigned a value of 0. Is there a way to prevent this from happening since it messes up my histograms? Possibly this can only be done in IDL?

You might be able to resolve this problem by setting 0 as the data ignore value in the ENVI Header of the output band stacked file. If that doesn't work, I would like to know what the masked pixel value is in the input files for the individual bands.

In ENVI the values show up as 65535 for all landsat bands even though in ArcGIS they show up as no data, and then when I stack them it is still 65535 for all bands. So what I need to do then is before I stack change 65535 to no data for all bands.
