I have .ASD field spectrometer data that I exported to ASCII and then imported into ENVI and saved as a spectral library file (.SLI). Is it possible to create a bad bands list (or something similar) to mask out measurements affected by atmosphere? I cannot find any way to direct way to edit the header file associated with my spectral library file either. When I run the "Edit ENVI Header" tool I get redirected to the Spectral Library Viewer when I open a .SLI, but the Spectral Library Viewer seems to be very limited in what it can do and I can't find anything that would edit the header. Is this something I can easily do in ENVI or not?

There is a feature request on our backlog to have the ability to edit the headers of spectral library files. For now, you can open the spectral library in ENVI Classic and edit the header.

Thank you for answering my question. I was able to edit the header in ENVI classic. How will we know when the this feature has been added to the most current version of ENVI 5.3?
