Hi, I only use ENVI pretty rarely, and was wondering if you could help me with this one: I've a RGB image and a NIR image of the same valley, and need to extract the "red" pixel values from the RGB and the NIR values from the NIR image. Firstly, is there anyway I can make a composite, so I can calculate NDVI directly via Band Math? If not, how do I extract the R pixel values from the RGB and the NIR values from the NIR image? Any ideas/help/solutions would be highly appreciated. Best regards, Jannik - a bit of a ENVI novice...

You can use the Layer Stacking tool to combine the RGB and NIR images and then use the NDVI tool in ENVI to calculate this.
