Dear Robert,
ENVI does not have a specific reader for the MicroSense Red Edge data products. So it imports the data as generic GeoTIFF files, so it doesn't understand any metadata that is provided along with the image, unless it is in a standard GeoTIFF format (i.e., using the standard GeoTIFF tags). This means that ENVI has no way to understand what wavelengths are used for the different bands, and it cannot read and use the GPS information to georeference the image.
You can add the wavelength information for each band after you've imported the image into ENVI. You would do that by right clicking on the image in the Layer Manager, and choosing View Metadata. Then in the View Metadata window, you click Edit Metadata. There you can add wavelength information by choosing Add > Wavelengths and Add > Wavelength Units.
Adding georeferencing information is more complicated, because these data are not in a projection yet. You may want to look into using our OneButton software, which is designed for processing UAS data, to georeference (and mosaic) your images using the GPS data. You can get a trial license for this software by contacting your Harris Geospatial sales rep or local distributor.
Regards,
Peg
