Hello everyone, I am running SARscape 5.2/ Envi 5.3/ IDL 8.5.1 for Linux x86_64 m64 (Ubuntu 16.04). When I attempt to import a Sentinel-1 SLC IW scene (using the manifest.safe file) I get the following error in a new dialogue window: 'Pointer type required in this context: PINFO.' Then the programme crashes. I would be extremely grateful for any advise or help on how to fix this issue! Thank you, Christine

Hi Christine, I'm not sure what might be going wrong, but one thing to try is shortening the names of the directories and subdirectories used for the Sentinel data. For some reason, the Sentinel data products use extremely long directory names and filenames, which can lead to the full path to the data being longer than allowed on Windows (and some other OSes). We've noticed that renaming some of the subdirectories and filenames to have very short names sometimes allows us to proceed when receiving strange error messages. If that doesn't help, would you mind clarifying whether you are importing the data into SARscape, or into ENVI when this problem occurs? If you are importing into SARscape, are you choosing SARscape > Import Data > SAR Spaceborne > SENTINEL-1? Regards, Peg
