Hello, I have been processing Landsat 8 images with ENVI/IDL and I have run into a problem when I try to save a VPCA band with data ignore values. After the image goes through the PCA to VPCA rotation, I import the VPCA bands to ENVI from IDL. After the memory file is saved, I select the edit ENVI header management file option to enter a data ignore value of 9999 which is the mask value I created earlier in the process. After I enter in the data ignore value, the recently saved VPCA file gets removed from the data manager and is no longer able to be selected so that I can load the bands individually. I have tried using the edit ENVI header file before I save and after I save the VPCA files with the same result. This issue is not a result of a full computer hard drive and before the data ignore value is entered, I am able to see all of the bands in the image with the mask so I know that the data is there. If you could give any insight on why the software might be tossing my recently saved VPCA file, I would appreciate it. Thanks, -Nina Ward
