    Hello,

Since > 10 years, I strongly appreciate the memory allocation of ENVI. But this time, I am quite upset since the georeferenced-based mosaic can only be implemented in manually tiling the dataset by a factor 10...
I can create a RGB mosaic with 14000 x 900 dimensions, but impossible to create a 14000 x 1800, and even less a 14000 x 9000 despite the 64-bit version, an i9 processor (10 cores) and 64 Go RAM. Hereafter is the recurrent message:

ENVI Retrieve Data: An error has occurred during processing
Error: "READU: End of file encountered. UNit: 102
    File:
    C:\User\AppData\Local\Temp\envFriJul061035402018658587519_1.tmp"
    The result may be invalid.

Thank you to show me how and where to fine-tune the memory to address this disappointing issue.

ENVI's mosaicking does take advantage of tiling. Can you tell me what tool or routine you are using when you run into this error? Also what version of ENVI - or ENVI Classic?
A READU error is generally not an error related to memory.

I use ENVI 5.3 classic 64 bits with the module (MAp -> Mosaicking -> Georeferenced).

Are you using color balancing in the georeferenced mosaic in Classic?
Can you perform the mosaic in ENVI using the Seamless mosaic?
