    For the RasterViewshed task:

    1) It seems like Pixel_Location is specified as pixel indices. Is this the only acceptable format? In other words, could one specify a lat/lon or UTM coordinates instead?

Also, in the example on the help pages, the file is subset first (see http://www.harrisgeospati...rViewshedTask.html). The pixel location is then explicitly with respect to the subset, right? Is there a way to specify the pixel location with respect to the original coordinates, instead? I'm just curious since in general, the Cursor Value window shows pixel coordinates with respect to the original (unsubset) coordinates, but the Pixel_Location is (implicitly, I think) with respect to the subset location.

    Thanks for your time,

    -Marcos

    Hi Marcos,

    1. The pixel_location can only be entered using columns/rows of the raster. I think the ability to enter map coordinates would be a useful feature request.
    2. This is true - the pixel location for Viewshed is expected to be in the actual (subset) image coordinates and not the file coordinates from the original image. and it is also true that the coordinates from the Cursor Value tool will use the x/y start values in the image to report the files coordinates from the original file. If you use Edit Metadata and remove the x/y start values, save the header then you will get the coordinates from the subset and can use them in Viewshed Analysis pixel_location..
