    Hi there!

I wanted to know whether ENVI 5.1 provides an option to assess the accuracies of rule images or not?

    Thanks,
    Bisma.

You can use ROC Curves or the Rule Classifier to assess the accuracy of your classification using the Rule images.

    Hello everyone,

I am trying to assess the accuracy of the SAM classifier. The problem is that I don't know how to calculate the number of the pixes should to use for the accuracy assessment. Could you also suggest papers for this subject? Thank you very much for your help!

Here is a thread that discusses sample size for accuracy assessment. As you can guess, there is no one right answer.

That was very helpful! Thanks a lot. I have one more question for the group: assuming that I chose the number of points for the accuracy assessment. At the next step, I should generate random samples using ground truth ROIS and create a classified image? And then I should estimate the accuracy assessment of this image and compare it with the accuracy of the image that I created through SAM method?
