I have created an image from mulitple ASD point spectra (one pixel per field sample) and am looking into running the mixed tuned match filtering (MTMF) algorithim to identify certain pixels of specific species type. This algorithms requires that data be in MNF space but when trying to transform these data, the output is blank (NaN's). In talking with other professionals, it was suggested that MNF would not work on these data due to the excellent signal-to-noise ratio in the ASD instrument. Has anyone experienced this issue and or found a way around it? Is there a method for adding a synthetic noise factor to these data in order to get a MNF transformation? Suggestions / comments welcome... Peter Eddy
