For the purpose of target detection, I carried out PCA transformation of a HYDICE 210 band image. Now to do thresholding analysis, I want to take it to MATLAB. I saved it in GeoTIFF format. But it doesnt open there and gives a error that its 32 bit and needs to be 16 bit image. How to solve the problem. Without PCA, I am able to save the image as GeoTIFF and transport it into MATLAB and open the image. Secondly, I am not open all the image together, 210 bands. I open it one by one. Any one who can help me kindly mail me Kailash Tiwari

The default data type when running PCA in ENVI is floating point (32-bit). In the PCA Parameters dialog, you can instead select a different output data type such as integer or unsigned int which would be a 16-bit image. Then when you save it to GeoTIFF via File ->Save File As, the GeoTiff will also be 16-bit. If you wish to have all your bands together in one file, I would suggest using Basic Tools ->Layer Stacking.
