    Hi,
    I'm trying to overlay a .shp file over a .nc file. However The .nc file is strangely large (it goes to 925 lat, which is obviously not correct). Below I've uploaded some images of the situation in ENVI. As can be seen the projection of the .nc is very strange.

    I've opened the .nc in Panoply and gotten it to display correctly for reference:

    What am I doing wrong here?

    How are you opening and importing the .nc file?
    Are you using File->Open As->Scientific Formats?
    If you are opening the file using the above, are there lat/lon bands you are importing for 'geometry' and then do you use Reproject GLT with bowtie correction?
