Hi All, I am trying to calculate the satellite zenith and azimuth parameters for an ASTER Level 1B image. The default values in FLAASH are Zenith: 180 and Azimuth 0. I am almost certain that these values are correct as ASTER does not have a steerable / off-nadir viewing capabilities. Are my assumptions correct? I have read that the azimuth and zenith can be calculated using the satellite position and and line of sight vector information provided in the hdf parameters table. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? Many thanks for your thoughts and suggestions. Kind regards, Wesley

Hi Wesley, Unless the image is taken off-nadir, it isn't necessary to enter these values (you can leave them at default). I have never had to enter zenith/azimuth information for ASTER data to correct it in FLAASH and I don't believe it to be necessary. -MM
