Hi everyone, I downloaded the spectral derivative tool from the following url: http://www.ittvis.com/cod...nk/search.asp?FID=77 I included this .sav file in the ENVI 4.2 save/add folder. After re-booting computer and launching ENVI, "spectral derivative" appears under the "transform" and "spectral" menu's in the ENVI 4.2 menu bar. When I try to use this tool I get the following error: "Attempt to call undefined procedure/function: DERIV" This tool works perfectly in ENVI 4.1, but I get the above error when using ENVI 4.2. Does anyone know of a solution?? Thanks

DERIV is an IDL .pro file located in the /idl62/lib directory. It sounds like your IDL path does not include the lib directory. You can check this by typing: print, !path at the IDL prompt. Another place the IDL path can be changes is in the system environment variables. These will override IDL's specified path if set and if the IDL_DEFAULT path is not included (which will include the lib directory), then IDL would be unable to find the deriv function. There is more information on IDL path issues in this Tech Tip: http://www.ittvis.com/ser...echtip.asp?ttid=4103
