Enterprise/SaaS Product Manager, Boulder, CO

remotely sensed data is used to make critical decisions, to make discoveries,
and to better understand the world around us. Various types of data, from
airborne and satellite imagery to non-optical data such as LiDAR and SAR, is
growing exponentially in availability and usage. Whether used autonomously or

We have an opening for an Enterprise/Saas Product Manager
who will be responsible for the success of the Enterprise/SaaS product line
through the entire product lifecycle (Voice of Customer for specific product
implementation, product definition, and development and release activities) in
support of Exelis GIS business goals. The Enterprise/SaaS Product Manager
provides strong product leadership by means of internal and external product
advocacy, strategic product vision and roadmap development.
The qualified candidate will be part of a team defining and
driving usage of our products among our customers. This position requires an analytical
mind with the ability to translate technical capabilities into market benefits.

What You’ll Do:
- Communicate with customers, new prospects and Sales to define workflows
for specific product implementation
- Evaluate ideas for new products; investigate market viability and effect
on current products; and recommend economically attractive products
- Define product roadmap to meet market requirements in support of product
strategy by considering position in life cycle, product profitability, pricing
strategies, client satisfaction and sales success rate
- Develop and maintain the product backlog
- Understand and evangelize best cloud practices across the organization
- Work with Marketing Communication and Sales to develop product marketing
plans for Enterprise/SaaS product line
- Collaborate with Engineering Leadership and Engineering Product Lead in
the Agile development of product plans, schedules, functional specifications,
etc.to ensure product meets customer/market needs
- Participate in customer visits, trade shows, seminars and other
marketing events
- Manage internally developed and third-party plug-ins to the
Enterprise/SaaS product line directly or by assignment to other Product
Managers
- Gather market intelligence to optimize opportunities as they occur and
to minimize competitive effects
What We’re Looking For:
- Active TS/SCI clearance desired; eligibility to obtain TS/SCI clearance
required; US citizenship is required
- 10-15 years’ experience in software product management, technical
marketing and/or technical software sales
- College degree or equivalent industry experience
- Experience with the DoD and Intelligence Community, and Geospatial
Intelligence markets are preferred
- Experience with enterprise, SaaS or web-based solutions
- Experience as a team leader rolling-out new products or new versions of
products
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills for technical and
non-technical audiences, and business communications
- Ability and aptitude to represent the business interests of Exelis GIS
within a product line
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in Product Marketing
- Experience in commercial software enterprise products (knowledge of
virtualization, delivery of services in the cloud)
- Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS and Azure
- Experience with Geospatial Analytics is preferred
