ENVI SAR Essentials 1.1
ENVI® SAR Essentials features streamlined SAR workflows for operational users. It automates and simplifies SAR data processing and analysis for the most common SAR applications. This enables users to get value from SAR data like they do optical imagery and to focus on the results rather than configuring parameters.
New Features
SAR Essentials 1.1 provides several new tools to support geospatial intelligence (GEOINT):
SAR Height Estimation: Estimate the height of vertical objects by interactively locating their tops and bases.
SAR Interferometric DSM: Create a Digital Surface Model (DSM) from phase difference information between two overlapping Single Look Complex (SLC) images.
SAR Inverse-SAR Refocusing: Detect and refocus moving targets in SAR images
SAR 3D Point Estimation: Estimate the height and horizontal position of a point on the ground using two SAR images of the same location.
SAR Radar Cross Section: Extract the Radar Cross Section (RCS) of targets. RCS is a metric that indicates the level of detectability of an object by radar.
SAR Ship Detection: Perform automatic ship detection with optional Automatic Identification System (AIS) labeling.
SAR Stereo-Radargrammetry DSM: Create a DSM from stereo-matching information between two SLC images.
Product Improvements and Updates
The SAR Color Sub-Aperture Generation tool was refactored with a simpler user interface and renamed to SAR Moving Target Detection.
The SAR Dynamic Sub-Aperture Generation tool was refactored with a simpler user interface and renamed to SAR Dynamic Moving Target Detection.
The processing speed of new and existing tools is much faster, compared to the previous release.
