New Features
IDL Workbench Provides Support for ESE Task Development
The IDL Workbench now contains functionality to help you write and publish Tasks for use in ENVI Services Engine (ESE). This includes the ability to easily create JSON and PRO code, edit and validate JSON files, and publish Tasks from IDL directly to an ESE Server. See the IDL Help topic "ESE Tasks" for more information on this new Workbench functionality.
New Tools: ENVI® for ArcGIS® - Services Edition
ENVI® for ArcGIS® - Services Edition (EFASE) provides image analysis tools that you can publish to the ArcGIS® for Server environment. These tools use ENVI Services Engine (ESE) to automate complex image-processing tasks such as RPC orthorectification, change detection, and land classification. You can also use ENVI desktop to create custom geo-processing tools and distribute them to desktop users, mobile clients, or web applications, so that they are readily available and utilized across your entire organization within the ArcGIS product suite. Finally, you can share the tools (rendered as maps) on the ArcGIS® Online portal. See the EFASE help topic for more information.
Updates
Enhanced Functionality for Usage Statistics
The Usage Statistics page in the Admin Console has undergone some major changes. It is now available as a tab in the Admin Console, and has updated user interface and graphing functionality. See the ESE Help Topic, Usage Statistics, for more information.
