Saint Louis University Uses ENVI For GIS Students
Saint Louis University (SLU) is a growing teaching and research institution that offers more than 85 undergraduate degree programs, 50 graduate programs, and 25 professional and certification programs. The main Frost campus lies in St. Louis’ Midtown area, in the heart of the theater and creative arts districts and near one of the largest urban parks in North America.
“Since the dawn of history, humans have used visualization and analysis to efficiently portray information. Using NV5 Geospatial’ products in the classroom is a critical part of training our students to look at the world in a new way, and share their insights through effective visualization,” says Robert Ripperdan, Director of the Center for Environmental Science, Saint Louis University.
The ENVI® suite is a core component of the Center for Environmental Science’s remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS) educational curriculum, and a part of the required coursework for every geoscience and environmental science undergraduate student at Saint Louis University. Students in the GIS certificate program depend on ENVI and ENVI SARscape to analyze remotely-sensed environmental data or geospatial information in their research projects.
Classes Using NV5 Products:
