a Supported versions indicate that ENVI was either built on (the lowest version listed) or tested on that version. You can install and run ENVI on other versions that are binary-compatible with those listed.

b The IDL Workbench on Macintosh OS X requires Java 1.6. The Apple X11 X-Windows manager is required for Macintosh. If X11 is not already installed, install it from the Mac OS X installation disk.

Note: ENVI Classic is supported on all of these platforms in addition to Solaris SPARC (version 10) 64-bit systems. 

For optimal performance, your video card should have a minimum of 1 GB RAM and should support OpenGL 2.0 or later. Also be sure to install the latest drivers for your video card.

The following table indicates which platforms support the corresponding feature. ENVI features not listed in this table are assumed to work on all supported platforms.

c Saving data to an enterprise SDE geodatabase requires an ArcInfo® or ArcEditor™ license. ArcView® does not support this feature.

d Supported on ArcGIS® Desktop 10.0 and 10.1. For 10.0 support we require the installation of Esri® Hot Fix QFE-DT-10-164907. To display NITF files in the File > Print dialog, NITF for ArcGIS® 1.3.1 must be installed with ArcGIS 10.0, and NITF for ArcGIS 1.4 must be installed with ArcGIS 10.1. The Windows installer for the NITF for ArcGIS® software is included on the ENVI installation disk.
