I have been waiting for this moment for more than 10 years. I'm very happy to announce that the Exelis VIS Documentation Center:
www.exelisvis.com/docs
is now live and hosting the IDL Help on the web. Now, when I'd like to show someone the
side effects of the ++ operator, or explain how to call the
Save method of the
PLOT function, I can provide a direct link to the appropriate Help page. I've been using the Docs Center as my primary help system for over a month now, and I'm satisfied with how it works. Note that each Help page has a Comments section on the bottom — please feel free to add helpful comments for others; e.g., I've added comments to
FFT and
MAX.
